QUICK RESPONSE SHELTER (QRS)

The QRS is a hard walled, knock down, structure engineered to provide substantial shelter with security.

The Unit is available in one size but several units can be joined together for a larger unit:

2.2m x 3.28m (7’ x 11’ approximately)
Weight 410kg (900lbs) with steel base platform.
2.2m x 6.56m (7’ x 22’ approximately)
Weight 820kg (1800lbs) with steel base platform.
2.2m x 9.84m (7’ x 33’ approximately)
Weight 1230kg (2700lbs) with steel base platform.

The QRS salient features are:

1. All building materials are water resistant, fire retardant and impervious to boring insects.

2. Each unit is a complete shelter with operating windows, lockable door and hard floor.

3. Units may be joined together in length.

4. The small unit can be assembled in about 1 hour by 2 people with simple hand tools.

5. Each unit can be disassembled; repackaged, relocated and reassembled.

6. 36 basic units can be shipped in a 40’ container.

7. All joining frames are made from steel for a precise, uniform connection.

8. Interior partitions, wash facilities, sanitation facilities and electrical supply can be provided as options.

9. Walls are steel clad insulated panels.

10. Emergency food rations, first aid kits, survival kits, etc. can be shipped with each basic unit as options.

11. Insulation can be provided for sub-zero weather.

12. All units can be stockpiled for disaster preparedness.
